Toronto- Whisky Tasting and Festivus- 07 Dec 2016

It's that time of the year again, Festivus is upon us!

Join your fellow members, significant others and guests on Wednesday December 7th for the 3V Toronto Festivus celebration.

This year's event is generously hosted by Vivek Jassal, and will be held near Yonge and Bloor, in a large event space at 100 Hayden Street. Food and drink will be served throughout the evening; we are particularly excited to hold a Whisky tasting this year (naturally, other beverages will be available).

Again, this is a mixed event as well as the last event of the 2016 Calendar for 3V Toronto; please consider inviting your partner, clients or business associates for what is set to be a fantastic evening.

Timings are 1800-2230; $50 per person for canapés, drinks and yuletide fun!

Calgary- Networking Dinner with Guest Speaker- 10 Nov 2016

After our successful first event the next Calgary 3V event will be a dinner Thursday November 10. The dinner is for 3V members or perspective members at the Glencoe Club. This will be a networking event with a guest speaker John Brannan. John Brannan is a senior energy executive and leader in the oil & gas industry. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he began his career as a drilling engineer on the rigs of Texas and Louisiana. His career has taken him from the US Gulf Coast to California, Chad, Halifax, the North Sea, and Calgary with numerous oil & gas companies. John recently retired as Chief Operating Officer at Cenovus Energy. He is currently the founder and CEO of Torxen Resources, a new energy firm in Calgary. With his dad being a World War II veteran and career USAF officer and two of his brothers served in the US military during the Vietnam War in addition to Cenovus’ operations on the Cold Lake Air Weapons range, John has a unique and invaluable perspective on veterans in business.

Toronto- Special Networking Event- 02 Nov 2016

Be front and center for the launch of 3V’s first major corporate partnership with a national brand, Starbucks Canada, on Wed 2 Nov. The purpose of the event is to announce Starbucks' support to 3V's call to action to Canadian business leaders to 'Have a Coffee with a Vet' so that they may hear their stories, learn what they have to offer and support them in their transition to meaningful employment.  The  event will be hosted by Starbucks at their flagship location in BCE Place and will see the senior leadership of Starbucks, True Patriot Love Foundation and 3V promote the “Have a coffee with a Veteran” concept.  Starbucks will conduct a media campaign prior to and at the event, which represents a formidable opportunity to raise the profile of veterans and the need for business leaders to leverage the talent available from those with military experience.   We will gather at 5:30pm with speeches to take place starting at 6:00pm. Networking opportunities will exist before and after the speeches.   For those interested, we will proceed to the Metropolitan Restaurant (20 Victoria Street) following the Starbucks event to continue our networking activities (approx 7:00pm). Space is limited so please RSVP by Oct 28th to membership@treblevictor.org

Join us the morning of October 12th to listen to an address by Sajith Nair, Partner, Cybersecurity & Privacy at PwC Canada.

Saj aims to take us through considerations tied to cyber security, a topic which continues to garner more attention as organizations seek to improve their resiliency to cyber risk. By learning about and addressing cyber security issues; organizations are able to grow their business with confidence in the digital age, and become better prepared to respond to crises.

The address will be preceded by coffee and breakfast, and followed by a Q&A and networking. Please consider which contacts in your network would enjoy learning about the bleeding edge topic of cyber security.

Join us for an evening of canapés, drinks and conversation at Canada’s premier networking event for ex-military leaders in business. Hosted this year at the brand new Scotiabank Centre, located at Scotiabank’s corporate headquarters. 3V is proud to hold the 7th Annual Veterans on Bay Street at this impressive venue that is normally reserved for Scotiabank events.

The evening will be highlighted by engaging guest speakers and a chance to network with leaders from Canadian industry, as we learn first-hand of the true value that ex-military leaders bring to corporate Canada.
